Sigrid is one of the founders of Dutch advocaten. Sigrid’s clients describe her as an accessible and personal lawyer who quickly provides clear and practical advice. Sigrid works on all types of employment law issues, focussing on cases that overlap employment law and corporate law, including individual and collective dismissals, transfers of undertakings, and non-competition disputes.

Sigrid has completed the Grotius specialisation course in employment law. As a lecturer, she presents courses (including in-house) on various employment-law topics. Maarten (1981) is one of the founders of Dutch advocaten. He advises and litigates in the areas of Corporate Law and commercial contracts. His work consists of providing advice on shareholders’ agreements, acquisitions, partnerships, as well as advising boards and supervisory bodies. He also represents clients in company-law and commercial disputes, including shareholder disputes, directors and officers liability, and general commercial disputes.

Willem-Jan (1980) has been practising law since 2006 and is one of the founders of Dutch advocaten. His work includes drafting, negotiating, and assessing various types of commercial contracts. He also litigates liability issues, commercial contracts, and IP/IT-related cases. Willem-Jan is regularly asked to share his knowledge via magazines, newspapers, and television programmes.

Hannah Vera (1978) has been an employment lawyer since 2003. In 2017, she joined Dutch advocaten as a partner. Clients describe her as a smart, creative lawyer who delivers prompt tailor-made services and is a firm negotiator. Hannah Vera assists her clients in all facets of employment law. Her subspecialty is flexible employment relationships.
She has many years of experience in providing legal and strategic advice to employers during transition phases, e.g. a phase of growth or a reorganisation. Furthermore she represents clients in complex proceedings on a regular basis, for example about the interpretation of collective labour agreements and the qualification of (flexible) employment relationships.
